14th Annual Open Call Exhibition:
LANDSCAPE
Opening: Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm
Exhibition runs through February 23, 2020
Ann and James Harithas and The Art Car Museum are proud to announce the opening of the 14th Annual Open Call Exhibition: LANDSCAPE.
This annual, free and un-juried exhibition was open to the first 100 artists to register on a single designated day. If they were among the first 100, they were included in the show.
The theme is announced in the summer allowing the artists a few months to create a piece for the exhibit. This year the theme is LANDSCAPE. With 100 artists, one is sure to find as many different perspectives, media and techniques. The Art Car Museum provides this opportunity for artists to show their artwork in our internationally known, destination museum.
This year we wanted to focus on the LANDSCAPE theme to show the contemporary artists’ interpretation of this classic genre.
The Open Call show is always highly anticipated by the art community and community at large. In the past thirteen year’s Open Call Exhibitions, the museum has enjoyed the privilege of showing the works of contemporary artists from Houston and around the nation.
LANDSCAPE promises to be a powerful and diverse exhibition.
Opening Night event is Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 7-10 pm.
