Art Car Museum new exhibit:

13th Open Call Exhibition:

December 8, 2018 through March 31, 2019
Opening Night: Saturday, December 8th, 2018, 7-10pm

Ann and James Harithas and The Art Car Museum are proud to announce the opening of the 13th Annual Open Call Exhibition: ANIMALS.

This annual, free and un-curated exhibition was open to the first 100 artists to register on a pre-determined day. If they registered and are within the first 100, they have been accepted into the show.

The themes chosen are always interpreted in a myriad of ways and expressed in all media, giving the viewer many interesting perspectives that may not otherwise come to mind. The Art Car Museum is pleased to provide a space for artists to express their opinions, always creating a lively dialogue. The opportunity to view one hundred different artists in a world-class, destination museum in the heart of Houston, Texas, is a boon to both artists and the public.

In the past twelve years’ Open Call Exhibitions, the museum has enjoyed the privilege of showing the works of artists from Houston and around the world. This show is always highly anticipated and very well received. ANIMALS promises to be powerful, highly diverse and thought provoking.
Opening Night event is Saturday, December 8th, 2018 – 7-10pm.
Exhibition runs through Sunday, March 31, 2019

The Art Car Museum is a private institution dedicated to contemporary art. It is an exhibition forum for local, national and international artists with an emphasis on art cars, other fine arts and artists that are rarely, if ever, acknowledged by other cultural institutions. The museum’s goal is to encourage the public’s awareness of the cultural, political, economic and personal dimensions of art, and to inspire.
